Mrs. Happy was always very happy. In fact, she was so happy that she smiled from day to night. If you were feeling down you would go to Mrs. Happy’s house. Mrs. Happy would always cheer you up. One day, Mrs. Happy went to the market. There, Mrs. Happy found a strange thing. Someone was shouting at the checkout person. Mrs. Happy said, “What is wrong?”

The person said, “Nothing! Go away!”

Mrs. Happy said, “What is your name?”

The person answered, “Mr. Mean. Now will you go away?”

Mrs. Happy said, “Please be nice.”

Mr. Mean said, “Fine, now can I have some space? Please?”

Mrs. Happy said, “Sure.” And walked back home with her shopping. And do you know what? Mr. Mean actually is nice now, thanks to Mrs. Happy.
