Hello from Astro!
Hi. My name is Astro, and I am 9 years old. Today I learned the meaning of pelt. It means to repeatedly hurl (something) at someone or something. I had this math problem today. It was the worst. It was a word problem. I didn’t solve the main problem before going on to the small questions. Because of that, I mixed up the numbers from the main problem with the numbers in the small questions.
Right now my family is on a trip around the country. We are in Blaine, Washington, 3 miles from Canada. We are in an Airbnb. Today my sister, Flower, and I were wrapping presents for Cat, our little brother. We wrapped over 20! Cat is not done unwrapping them yet!
Soon, we will drive to Idaho. I am excited, but also a bit sad, because I like Blaine. Our Airbnb is in a nice area but the house itself is kind of falling apart. There are smashed bugs on the ceiling, and one of the doorstops fell off. The microwave is not working, and the TV is glitchy. There are some nice things, too. There is a patio, a treadmill, a bar, and a drive through window, from the kitchen to the living room.

The picture was taken from the living room. This is a view of Birch Bay. Okay, Mama is going to check this entry. See you next time!
Oh Astro, what a delightful entry. I could totally visualize everything you were describing. Sorry about the hard math problem. What an amazing adventure you and flower and cat are having. There are not very many kids that get to have this kind of adventure. I can’t wait to hear more. I loved hearing about the 20 presents you and flower wrapped up for cat. How much fun that must’ve been for all of you. I look forward to your next post.
Thank you for the comment on the post. Love you! – Astro
Hi ASTRO, I’m having so much fun reading the posts about your adventures! How has the weather been in the places you have been? This seems like the perfect time to travel. It was 118° yesterday and summer has barely started! I love you.
Astro,
Thank you for sharing your family adventures with us.
And a word of encouragement for the math problem. We have all struggled with Math word problems. Kudos to you for seeing where you went wrong. You are now learning the building blocks of the foundation of your Math world. Consider your struggle now as an investment to all your future Math adventures.
